A Mad Halloween Arena

So, ArenaNet occasionally has gem store sales. A recent sale had the Custom Arena Starter Kits discounted within (what I consider) the impulse buy range. We in the guild have been talking about getting our own PvP arena for awhile now, so the trigger was pulled...

Say hello to the [stfu] arena!

As of right now, the arena is open to the public and allows standard matches with progression and a ready button. You'll also find it commonly set up as a public dueling arena. Those of us in [stfu] and [MAD] (our allied PvP guild) are members and will find reserved slots available for us in the arena at all times. Now that we've got an arena for our own purposes though, it can be locked down with a password and we can have some PvP events of our own!

Getting back into the current state of the Living Story (and the human calendar year), this Thursday is Halloween. Mad King Says will be on order. Let's have some fun with the scenery and celebrate the occasion with some screenshots! And play some Lunatic Inquisition together!

...but wait, we can't party up and join the same instance of Lunatic Inquisition, you say? Of course we can't... but our snazzy new PvP arena says we can improvise! And now for an idea from Edgar:

The villagers will go with no armor or amulet. There will only be one ghost either decided by a volunteer or a random chance. They will start with full armor and amulet. When people get killed by the ghost, the villager will join the ghost in killing others. Once there is only one person left on the field, then that person will win (the satisfaction of gloating about it).
The inspiration for this stemmed from the following video from the Mormon Battalion:

Let's plan on hopping into our new PvP Arena around 7 PM PST (10 PM EST) and make a few runs at this. The server will be locked with a password. Look for updates on the event page. And, as always, we'll be on RaidCall.

Happy hunting, and take bunches of screenshots to mark the occasion! Look for some of our favorites from the community here after the event!
